BIOGRAPHY

The Suggia Piano Trio, founded in 2008, is becoming one of the leading Piano Trios of his generation in Spain. Its members completed graduate degrees at the most prestigious European conservatories (London, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Leipzig, Amsterdam and Basel).

Over the last years, the Trio's schedule has included concert tours in Spain, France, The Netherlands, Germany, USA (New York State) and Canada (Ontario). The Suggia Piano Trio has performed in prestigious venues and festivals such as Bilbao Euskalduna Concert Hall, at the Musika - Musika Festival organized by La Folle Journée de Nantes, International Music Festival of Segovia, Conde Duque Concert Hall of Madrid, XIV Festival "Otoño Musical" of Soria (Castilla and Leon), Arriaga Theatre of Bilbao and Philharmonic Theatre of Oviedo.

These young musicians have reveived masterclasses from world known chamber music ensembles such as Borodin Quartet, Bartok Quartet, Schoenberg Ensemble, Orpheus Quartet, Trio Arbos and more recently the Guarneri Trio Prag. The Suggia has recorded a CD with all chamber music of composer Oreste Camarca on then label of Verso, and is currently working on another album, which should be released during the year.

Shortly the Suggia Piano Trio will give the world première of "Promise", a Piano Trio work by Italian composer Giulio Genovese, dedicated to the SPT. Strongly committed to educating new generations of musicians and music lovers, the Suggia Piano Trio enjoys communicating with their audiences through both music and commentary.

In addition to their concert schedule, the members of the Suggia have teaching posts at the Pablo Sarasate Conservatory of Music in Pamplona (Spain), at the Conservatoire Nationale Saint-Maur (París) and at the Conservatory of Frankfurt am Maine (Germany). Ines de Madrazo is as well Soloist Assistant of the Navarre Symphony Orchestra.

The Trio takes its name from the famous Portuguese cellist Guilhermina Suggia.
